Resize the Areas

CellDesigner's Main Window consists of Menu, Toolbars, and the five Areas as shown below.

Main Window

Tree/Layer Areas ---Show/Hide---

  1. In the Menu, select View, then uncheck Tree.
  2. See that Tree and Layer Areas are hidden.
  3. In the Menu, select View, then check Tree.
  4. See that Tree and Layer Areas are shown.

Tree/Layer Areas ---maximize/minimize the width---

  1. To maximize the width of the Tree and Layer Areas, click the right-pointing arrow head at the top-right corner of the Areas. (See one of the orange circles in the above picture.)
  2. To minimize the width of the Tree and Layer Areas, click the left-pointing arrow head at the top-right corner of the Areas.

List/Notes Areas ---maximize/minimize the height---

  1. To maximize the height of the List and Notes Areas, click the up-pointing arrow head at the top-left corner of the Areas. (See one of the orange circles in the above picture.)
  2. To minimize the height of the Tree and Notes Areas, click the down-pointing arrow head at the top-left corner of the Areas.

List/Notes Areas ---maximize/minimize the width---

  1. To maximize the width of the List Area, or equivalently to minimize that of the Notes Area, click the right-pointing arrow head at the top-left corner of the List Area. (See one of the orange circles in the above picture.)

Toolbars --- Show/Hide ---
