Homodimer Formation
To create a homodimer
- Select Homodimer Formation icon
from the Toolbar. If you cannot find it, select View - Change Toolbar Visible - Show All in the Menu.
- Click the target SpeciesAlias on the Draw Area.
- CellDesigner automatically
- generates a new SpeciesAlias with the same homodimer value as the original SpeciesAlias,
- then links the original SpeciesAlias and the newly created SpeciesAlias with the State Transition line.
- The State Transition generated here will have new attributes; the stoichiometry value of the Reactant is set to 2, while that of the Product being set to 1.
You can delete the Reaction attached to the homodimer. Then the homodimer will become independent SpeciesAliases. You can edit the SpeciesAliases respectively.
Homodimer Formation differs from the functionality of the other icons: It functions as a batch tool.
